Straighten the thumb and the index finger of one hand, and keep the remaining fingers in the palm. Leave a small gap between the thumb and index finger as they stack up vertically, and place it in front of you. Straighten the other index finger while keeping the other fingers in the palm, turn the palm outwards, and place the index fingers in the middle if the gesture on the first hand to form the shape of the Chinese character “中” (zhong, middle). Then, draw a semicircle upwards with the second hand as you open up the hand. This sign signifies middle school (the educational stage).
